You Can Find Warrants on the Website Below
Video Transcribed: How to check for a warrant in Tulsa County. I’m James Wirth, a lawyer in Tulsa. That’s the topic that we’ve got today.
I’ve got the website pulled up behind me. If you’ve got a warrant or potentially somebody has a warrant that you want to look up, that may be out of Tulsa Municipal Court or Tulsa County District Court, this is where it’s going to show and where you can check it out. You go online to the City of Tulsa website at cityofTulsa.org/apps/TPDwarrantsearch. And I’ve got that in the video up here behind me.
You can see that URL. Once you enter that in, you’ve got some prompts that come up where you put in a first name, and last name, then it searches it, and then it pulls everything up. So this does not include any warrants from anywhere. This is going to be Tulsa warrants from Tulsa Municipal Court or from Tulsa County District Court.
Once you pull it up, it’ll say what the warrant is for, and also have the case number on there. So it does have valuable information if you are in the circumstance where you’re looking for that for yourself or somebody else. What it does not have are warrants that are from other jurisdictions. And also, there’s sometimes a delay.
Once the warrant has been issued or approved by the judge, it can take time for it to actually be entered into the system, maybe a few days. Once that warrant is recalled, and resolved, then it’s removed from there. So it doesn’t have historic warrants, it just has ones that are current, or at least as up-to-date as the database is. But there is a little bit of delay when one is issued before it shows up on that website.
If you’ve got any questions about that, or a criminal case, or a warrant in Tulsa, you’re going to want to talk to a criminal defense attorney in Oklahoma about your specific circumstances. To speak with somebody at my office, you can go online to makelaweasy.com.
