Now in the past, I've had a person who was on their way to work and another person who is making a delivery for their employer struck our client and the other person was on the clock at the time. They were within the scope of their employment. This fell under what's called respondeat superior, meaning their employer was partially responsible because the person was acting in the line of duty for their employer. I, as your Bankruptcy attorney come up with you for a plan that pays at least the disposable income, meaning what you have left over, you can't pay less than that, for either the five years or as long as it takes to pay off the debt that you have to pay in the bankruptcy. For example, if the cutoff for a seven was 40,000 for one person, and you make 50,000, then you've got 10,000 leftover. Take 10,000 divided by 60, whatever that is. Well, let's say you make 10,000 over, so then you're looking at $100 a month payment. You can do the math on that. Whatever disposable income that you have leftover, divide that up and spread that out per month for the 60 months. Of course, you don't pay more than what you owe. But that in a nutshell is a Chapter 13. Read more »

BACKGROUND We are new to the area and truly did not know who to contact concerning a water pipe in our front yard that was cut by the workers employed by the CITY of Muskogee month of AUGUST 2024 while installing a new water metre in our front yard .We were notified by the CITY of Muskogee that a new water metre was required upon purchasing a home in Muskogee.
The fractured pipe has been spewing water into our front lawn and into the street since it was cut August 2024 and is a culprit in the flooding of the crawl space of the home we purchased. The prior owners are adamant that the crawl space NEVER FLOODED DURING THEIR SOJOURN IN OUR PURCHASED RESIDENCE.
WE HAVE CONTACTED THE CITY OF MUSKOGEE MULTILPLE TIMES WITHOUT RESPONSE TO THE SITUATION THUS WE ARE SEEKING LEGAL INTERVENTION.
