This Amnesty Program Will Benefit Those with Outstanding Warrants
Video Transcribed: City of Tulsa Traffic Ticket Amnesty Program beginning today, June 13th, 2022. I’m a Lawyer in Tulsa, James Wirth. We’re talking about the amnesty program that’s going on for this week only, the week of June 13th, 2022. It is for people that have outstanding warrants out of Tulsa Municipal Court.
The court knows there are about 108,000 of those, that’s for people that fail to appear in court or fail to pay their fines and costs. When you do that, a warrant goes out.
Notice of that goes to the Department of Public Safety, which could cause there to be a loss of your driver’s license and hold on your license. Also, when that goes out, there are certain fines and costs that are added on, warrant fees when the warrant issues.
But with the amnesty program, you can get those resolved without having to pay those additional costs and try to get that cleaned up, so it’s not causing new problems going forward. So long story short now is the best time that there is to get these things taken care of.
Now they can be added on at the Tulsa Municipal Court between 8:00 and 11:00 AM, Monday through Friday for this week only if you want to avoid those warrant fees and late fees. And then if you’ve got citations for driving under a suspended license, speeding, or any moving violation, now’s the best time to get it taken care of.
You may be able to take care of it without an Oklahoma attorney. But given your specific circumstances, depending on those, you may want to talk to Tulsa Traffic Ticket Attorney and get a consultation for that to get specific advice on how to handle it in your case. If you want to do that with somebody at my office, you can go online to makelaweasy.com.
